The company was founded in 1955 in North Webster, IN by Bill Metcalf and Phil Payne. Metcalf & Payne built a reliable plumbing and HVAC residential services business for decades with a loyal customer base. In 1995, Wes and Ann Bell purchased the company and renamed the company to simply Metcalf, Payne & Bell.
Under ownership of Wes and Ann, MPB has built upon the great reputation Metcalf, Payne & Bell had in the community and grew the company to be a trusted plumbing and HVAC services contractor for home owners across Kosciusko County, mainly concentrated in the lakes region.
